  • Notes 
    • Isaac Mendes Seixas was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1708. He arrived in New York City in about 1730 and entered into business. He went with his family to Newport, Rhode Island, about 1765, and resided there until his death on 3 November 1780.

      Sometime after his death, his widow Rachel (Levy) Seixas moved to New York City, where she died on 12 May 1797.
